Hello, my name is Joe Galla. I have been a performing songwriter for over 30 years now and have over 30 different musical compilation tracks that I have written. My purpose here is to show you the different styles and techniques of writing, recording & playing that I have used on my different musical works. I will show and explain the musical instruments, multitrack recorder, and the different equipment which was used in making these various songs. I have had many different musical genre influences over the years, but for the most part my biggest influence has always been rock music. But as you listen to the different songs you will notice many other types of music such as funk, progressive rock guitar, ballads and one of my favorites, metal. Which was definitely a big part of the early eighties. Which was a big part also of me being a performing songwriter. I have often been referred to as the guitar shredder ( which doesn’t mean I put my guitars in the paper shredder) It is just more or less my technique of playing ( heavy sound, dark overtones, fast guitar leads, progressive rock guitar & many guitar chord patterns).  You will also have the opportunity to download free audio samples of the music with a chance to purchase some of the songs as well. You will also get to hear other various band members who have collaborated with me as a performing songwriter throughout the years on many different songs.  For the most part my responsibility was to write the music for these songs. My good friend Dan ( who was like my brother and also a performing songwriter) had written most of the lyrics. He also played the drums and percussion on most of the recordings. With the exception of a few songs that were recorded with my Alesis SR-16 drum machine. Which was always fun to program. I also played all the instruments ( guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and some vocals) on mostly all of the older 4 track recordings.  I am also currently working on some new material which I hope to have up and running on the site very soon.
